Our Story
Like all good 21st-century millennial Jews, we met on JSwipe… because really, is there any other way?
Our first date was at The Chastain, a restaurant that would become one of the most important places in our love story. Lauren, ever the cautious eater, tried foods she never imagined she’d enjoy. That night, over candlelight and conversation, something began—something that neither of us could have planned but both of us were ready for.
In many ways, our love story was always waiting to happen. Our parents like to joke that they were the last Jews in Sandy Springs to meet each other, and perhaps the same was true for us. For years, we unknowingly lived less than a mile apart, circling the same places, passing the same streets, unaware that just around the corner was the person we’d been looking for. Then, after a decade of Daniel traveling the country for work, we finally met—not a moment too soon, not a moment too late, but at exactly the right time.
Two old souls with an undeniable spark, our bond became meteoric. Within four months, we had already done what most couples might consider unthinkable—we packed our bags for a secluded island getaway… with Daniel’s parents. With endless family time, Lauren knew she was in it for the long haul.
Just days after that trip, we all got COVID. Quarantining together, Lauren made sure Daniel would never leave (kidding… mostly). But in those weeks, something solidified—we realized this was going to work. So, naturally, we did what any rational couple would do and moved in together.
From sickness to health, we’ve already lived out that vow. Daniel had major surgery, and Lauren spent hours at his bedside reading him bad mystery novels while he was barely conscious, tubes running out of his chest. We learned then what we know now: we are so much better together than we are apart—especially when we’re actually healthy.
So, what next? Well, we bought a house, of course. And decided to renovate it. Because isn’t that what you do before you get married?
And, as if that wasn’t quite enough stress, Lauren launched her own private practice, and Daniel took on a new role as Creative Director at Clickon. Through it all, we have learned that Daniel pushes Lauren to new limits, and Lauren teaches Daniel to slow down and live in the moment.
Now, it's time for one last transformation—helping Lauren get a last name that people can actually spell.
(Just kidding… no one can spell Feuer.)
But what matters most is this: we are so excited to have you join us to celebrate this next chapter of our love story.
